The guide bar, made of cold-drawn nickel-plated steel, is profiled to prevent bending. The robust clamp jaws are made of malleable cast iron, providing strength, and are equipped with soft plastic pads to protect the clamped material. The smoothly moving spindle is operated with a rubberized handle that never slips.
