JET JDP-15B is a bench pillar drill specially construed for woodwork. Key features include a full 80 mm of quill travel with one turn of the handle, with an integrated depth stop for repeat accuracy of drilling depth. Efficient, Poly-V drive belts provide smooth, vibration-free run with maximum power transmission. Features a one-handed and tool-free belt tensioning system which allows simple and easy speed change. The top belt cover is held magnetically and has a safety switch. The table offers a large working surface. Made of surface ground cast iron with ample clamping T-slots and also a height-adjustable insert. The precision ground table easily tilts to 45° on both sides and also has an adjustment to ensure squareness to the chuck centre line. The table height is adjusted by a smooth rack and pinion system, with the control handle being canted away from the table. The powerful induction motor is firmly bolted to the headstock to prevent vibration or flexing. A bright, tiltable LED work light is recessed into the headstock casting, plus there is a crosshair laser system for centre finding. A comprehensive depth stop system allows precision blind hole drilling, accurate every time. This machine is designed to meet the demands of the woodworker, with ample work support, maximum drilling depth and solid build.
